How an emissions repair runs at our Slough workshop
Car comes in with the MOT VT30 failure sheet. We read the figures, then run a full diagnostic scan to pull fault codes and freeze-frame data. We check live fuel trims, lambda response, MAF readings and, on diesels, the DPF soot load and EGR position. If smoke is involved we run the smoke machine across the intake and exhaust to find any unmetered air leaks.
Once we know the cause we give you a fixed-price quote before any work starts. Most emissions repairs are completed the same day. We then run the car up to temperature, clear adaptations, and confirm gas figures with our own analyser before sending you to the MOT retest centre. If you fail the retest after our work we sort it free of charge.
