How a proper refurb runs
The bit that separates a refurb that lasts five years from one that bubbles in eighteen months is the prep. Tyre off the rim, wheel chemically stripped, blasted back to bare alloy, dents knocked out and any cracks TIG-welded, full inspection for porosity, then primed with an etch primer designed to grip aluminium oxide. Colour coat, lacquer, oven-baked at 200°C for the powder to fully cure. Tyre refitted, balanced, valve replaced. Then back on the car. Cut a single corner on that process and you'll see the result within a winter.
