How a headlight fail gets sorted
Car on level ground at our Slough workshop. We confirm exactly which lamp failed and why. If it is a blown bulb we replace it with the correct type, never an upgrade that will fail again. If it is aim we set both dipped and main beams on the calibrated beam setter to the correct cut-off pattern and angle for the car's weight class.
On modern cars with adaptive or self-levelling headlights we check the rear ride height sensor, the levelling motor and the coding. We have the diagnostic kit for VW Group, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and most Asian brands. Once set, we send you straight to the retest centre confident of a pass.
