Audi Alloy Wheel Refurbishment in Slough
Audi's S-line wheels are some of the prettiest diamond-cut faces out there - and some of the first to lacquer-peel. A3, A4 and A5 S-line 18s and 19s, Q3 and Q5 20s, A6 and A7 20s - they all share the same failure mode: lacquer goes milky round the outer edge, then the silver face oxidises underneath. Strip, re-cut on the lathe, re-lacquer is the only fix that holds.
We see plenty of painted Audis too - older A4 and A6 wheels in silver, gunmetal or anthracite that just need a proper strip, prime and respray. Same workshop, different finish.
What we see most on Audis
Lacquer peel on S-line diamond-cut 19s and 20s is the most common job by miles. Second is kerb damage on the outer lip - Audi rims sit close to the kerb at the front and they get clipped. If the kerb hit's hard enough to crack or buckle, we TIG weld and re-profile first, refurb second. RS3, RS4 and RS6 wheels go the same way, just bigger and pricier to replace, so refurb makes even more sense.
Full colour change
A lot of Audi owners come in wanting the standard silver swapped for satin black or anthracite. That's a powder coat colour change - full strip back to bare alloy, then coated, baked and lacquered. It lasts properly because it's not paint over paint.
