Mercedes Alloy Wheel Refurbishment in Slough
Mercedes AMG-line wheels are mostly diamond-cut from the factory - that bright machined silver face with a darker pocket. C-Class 19s, E-Class 19s and 20s, GLC and GLE 20s, S-Class 20s and 21s. They look brilliant for three or four years then the lacquer starts lifting at the outer edge and the silver underneath oxidises. The fix is a proper lathe re-cut and re-lacquer.
Painted A-Class and B-Class wheels come in for the usual kerb and corrosion work, and we still see plenty of older C and E-Class painted multi-spokes that need a full strip and respray.
What we see most on Mercedes
Diamond-cut lacquer peel on AMG-line 19s and 20s is the daily job. Kerb damage on E-Class and S-Class fronts is the second - wider cars on narrower London streets means front-nearside rims get clipped. Anything that's cracked from a heavy pothole hit goes through the crack welding bay first.
AMG colour change
A lot of AMG owners want the standard silver-and-black two-tone changed to all matte black or anthracite. That's a powder coat colour change - full strip, coated, baked, lacquered. Holds up to AMG brake dust and road salt a lot better than wet paint.
